Dr. Ung Vibol examines two-year old Than Than, who has HIV/AIDS in a hospital in Phnom Penh. After a decade of rapid spread, HIV infection is well established in Cambodia, affecting all regions in all sectors of the population. The latest data indicates that there are 169,000 people, about 2.8 percent of the population aged between 15 and 49 living with the virus, the highest rate in Asia. As more women become infected, more babies are born with the disease.
